INFO: IRIS Pre-Encounter Prep Requirements

Our Risk Adjustment Consultants work with your providers to prepare for upcoming assessment visits.

In order to ensure success with our collaboration, our IRIS team asks that all comprehensive or semi-annual assessments are scheduled in advance. To assist your teams with this goal, we have put together the expectations in the chart below.  This will allow the IRIS team to pull the assessment schedule and will allow for PEP delivery on the first business day of the month.

If your team has the assessments scheduled earlier than the dates below, please communicate this with your Risk Adjustment Consultant!

• Understand the deadline for PCP assessments to be scheduled ahead of PEP delivery

Deadline to Schedule PCP Assessments

NOTE: The above dates do not indicate when the Assessment is due, but when the assessment with the PCP must be scheduled.

Viewing an Upcoming PCP Assessment

To ensure timely delivery of the IRIS Pre-Encounter Prep Report, assessments should be scheduled according to the deadline schedule above.

Configuring Scheduling Type for PCP Assessment Visit

Before scheduling an assessment, ensure that your Scheduling Configurations are set up with the appropriate Note Template Name and Note Structure. 

1. From the main menu, select the three vertical dots next to your name.
2. Select Settings
3. Select Scheduling Config from the top menu
4. Select the blue +Add button
5. Complete the following fields:
   • Name: PCP Assessment Visit
   • Location: In Center
   • Note Structure: Complete H&P (2 col)
   • Note Template Name: leave blank (see linked article below)
   • Duration: Select the approximate length of the assessment
6. Click Submit

Scheduling PCP assessment visits

1. From the main menu, navigate to Scheduling > Center Calendar
2. Select the blue +Add Event button on the top right of the screen
3. Complete the following fields:
   • Category: Internal Visit
   • Type: PCP Assessment Visit.  
   • Provider: Add desired provider name to complete assessment
   • Participant: Select participant name from the drop-down list
   • Status: Scheduled
   • Add Date and Time of Event
   • Appointment Location Type: In Center or Primary Address
4. Select Save
