Overview
Your Practice Home page tracks everything that needs attention across the practice in the Requiring Action queues. Some items can be resolved right from Practice Home β others require you to open the actual patient chart to complete the action. Use this chart to quickly identify both.

β οΈ Patient Chart Callouts
These items cannot be fully resolved from Practice Home alone β they require opening the patient's chart to complete the action:
- Draft Notes β must be finished and signed inside the chart
- Draft Orders β signature happens in the chart, not the queue
- Reports β reviewing and signing off requires opening the report in the chart (reassigning a misrouted report is the one exception β that can be done straight from the queue)
- Refill Requests β approving/denying needs the med history and context only visible in the chart
- Failed e-prescriptions (Urgent queue) β must be corrected and resubmitted from within the chart
Tip: Use the Launch Patients button to open a browser tab per patient chart in one click β this is the fastest way to work through chart-required items in bulk instead of opening each one individually from the queue.
Other Things to Know
- Viewing another user's queue: Use the dropdown menu on Practice Home to check Requiring Action items in another team member's queue β helpful for coverage, but clinical sign-offs (notes, orders, reports, refills) still need to be completed by an appropriate provider.
- Display preference: Each queue can be sorted Newest First or Oldest First β this preference is saved per browser and applies across all categories.
- Self-addressed reminders: Messages you send yourself with a date attached will show up in your Practice Home queue on that date; without a date, they'll only appear in the patient's chart.
